How do I enroll in a course?
You can contact us via the inquiry form on our website, by email, or by phone. We’ll discuss which licence or skill you need, schedule options, prerequisites and cost. We'll send you a confirmation once you’ve enrolled.
Do you train on-site at my workplace, or do I have to come to your facility?
We offer both options, depending on your course and region. For many crane, rigging, heights, and forklift courses, we can deliver training on your site using your own equipment (if it meets certification/safety standards).
How long is a course?
Course duration depends on the licence type, number of participants, prior experience, and whether you need both theory and practical training. Some refresher or assessment-only courses are shorter.
What are the prerequisites for enrolling?
Prerequisites differ by course. Generally, you need to be of minimum legal age, physically fit, and may need to hold certain unit standards or prior certifications. We will advise you when you apply.
When will I receive my certificate or licence?
After you successfully complete all assessments, we submit the results to the awarding body or regulatory authority. Once processed, your certificate or licence will be emailed or sent to the address you provided.
Does completing your course guarantee I will get a licence?
No. While we provide training and assessment to meet unit standards or regulatory requirements, the final decision to issue a licence is made by the relevant regulatory authority.
How long is a licence or certification valid?
It depends on the particular licence type. For example, Elevated Work Platform (EWP) licences issued under the “Silvercard” scheme are valid for 3 years. Other licences may have different renewal cycles or refresher requirements.
What happens if I fail the assessment?
If you fail an assessment, you may retake it (or parts of it) according to our re-assessment policy. You may also need additional training or practice before reattempting.
Am I required to be medically or physically fit to participate?
Yes. Because our courses involve high-risk activities (heights, cranes, rigging, etc.), you must confirm that you are physically and medically able to safely participate. You must notify us in writing of any medical condition, injury or limitation before training begins.
What safety gear (PPE) do I need to bring?
You must bring or wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, which may include safety helmet, safety boots, high-visibility clothing, harnesses, gloves, eye protection, etc. We will provide you with a list of required PPE before your course date.
What are the risks involved with training?
Training in high-risk environments inherently carries the possibility of injury or property damage. You must follow all instructions, safety procedures, and use equipment properly. We take all reasonable precautions, but you participate at your own risk (subject always to legal duties we cannot exclude).
Can I cancel or reschedule my course?
Yes, up to a specified time before the course (for example, 5 working days), you may cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee. We always reserve the right to reschedule or cancel for safety, regulatory, or operational reasons.
What if you cancel the course?
If we cancel (due to weather, equipment issues, or other safety or operational reasons), we will offer you a full refund or allow you to rebook at no extra cost.
Are courses delivered in multiple sessions, or do I need to attend in one block?
In many cases, we can split the practical/theory elements, but it depends on the course and regulators’ requirements. We'll discuss scheduling with you when you enroll.
Do you provide refresher or refresher assessments?
Yes, some courses have refresher options or “recertification” assessments. It’s often recommended to
refresh every 3-4 years, or as per your employer’s safety policy.
Does my crane or equipment need to be certified for training to be held?
Yes. Practical training is conducted only on equipment that meets required safety and certification standards. If your machinery is not certified or safe for use, we may need to cancel or reschedule that component of training.
Do the unit standards or credits expire?
Generally, unit standard credits themselves do not expire, but regulatory and licensing requirements may change over time. Also, regulatory bodies may require you to maintain currency through ongoing practical experience or refresher training.
What liability protection do you have for accidents or injuries?
We carry appropriate insurance coverage and operate under strict safety protocols. However, because of the inherent risks in the work, participants accept certain risks. Our full liability, disclaimers and your obligations are set out in our Terms & Conditions & Disclaimer, which you should read carefully before enrolling.
Who is responsible if a regulatory authority refuses to issue a licence?
The decision to issue or refuse a licence is made by the regulatory authority (not by us). Our training is aimed to help you meet their requirements, but we cannot guarantee their decision.
